  1. 12 Hours Left

    Hello Detectives,

We’re into the final push of the campaign. We’re very close to hitting our last stretch goal: the Kickstarter exclusive badges. So, if you know anyone who would be interested in The Detective Society, please do let them know.

We’ve had a few questions about what will happen after the campaign ends. As we are going to start shipping Episode One next month, we will shortly send you all a backer survey asking for your details and what language you would like your packages to be in (English, French, German or Spanish).

There will also be a section for those of you who have increased your pledge sizes to get multiple copies of the game. In this section you will be able to enter the additional addresses you want them shipped to.

Thank you once again for all of your support over the last 45 days. As the campaign ends, the real fun begins!

    All the best,

    Joe, Tristan and Dan

  2. No Pledge Manager

    Hello,

A few people have asked us how we’ll be handling the end of the campaign. We want to let everyone know that we will NOT be using a pledge manager.

So do make sure you have backed the appropriate reward to ensure you get what you want.

For anyone who hasn’t backed yet, our online store will go live when this campaign ends, however the Kickstarter discount will have finished, so pledge now to grab the best price.

    All the best,

    Joe, Tristan and Dan

  3. 48 Hours To Go!

    Hello Detectives,

There are now just 48 hours until the end of our campaign. We’re overwhelmed with gratitude to each and every one of you that has helped us to reach over 600% of our funding goal. Thank you!

We have one stretch goal remaining – and if we hit it then we’ll add Kickstarter exclusive pin badges to every copy of Episode One that we ship to our amazing backers.

Also, a reminder that in addition to the UK, the USA and the EU, we now ship to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland.

For those wondering how we’re getting on with development, I’m pleased to say that we’ve just finished our final round of testing for Episode One. Prior to this, we have had four other rounds of testing focused on gameplay to ensure all our puzzles are fun and logical. We are now in the process of having the components for Episode One manufactured, and are on schedule to ship Episode One in July.

At the end of last week, we began the first round of testing on Episode Two, sending a rough-around-the-edges copy to a small number of trusted testers to see if the puzzles are up-to-scratch. This week we’re making refinements based on that feedback, along with beautifying it with the assets we have received from our graphic designer, before sending it out for the second round of testing.

At the same time, we’re also beginning work on Episode Three. This is a really enjoyable part of the process, as while we know what is going to happen from a narrative point-of-view, we have a great time designing all the puzzles for each package.

As always, if you have any questions for us, just comment. We’ll be happy to answer them.

    All the best,

    Joe, Tristan and Dan
